are you there? can you hear me?

Yaya has taken to shouting at the world. She is not subtle. For example, tonight she trotted her little footy-jammied self out to the middle of our lawn. She spread her arms wide and shouted at the Easter Bunny.

"Easter Bunny! EEEEEEEAster BUNYYYYYYYY! Why don't you ever let me see you? Where are you. Come out right now. Come out and see me. I want to meet you!"

She is shouting at the top of her lungs.

In her jammies.

Outside.

Her sister, Noni, walked outside to try to talk her down.

"Yaya. That's not the way it works."

"But I am asking nicely. HEY! BUNNY. GET OUT HERE. YOU SHOULD LISTEN THE FIRST TIME SOMEONE ASKES YOU TO DO SOMETHING!"

"Yaya. We're not supposed to see the Easter Bunny. It's kind of the rule."

"Really?"

"Yep."

"Oh."

(Pause)

"Do you think the Easter Bunny will still come to our house?"

"Yep."

(Pause)

"'K. Let's get a snack."

Two nights ago, Yaya was shouting out the window to God. It was too cold. She wanted him to do something. He should listen the first time.

Can you imagine what the neighbors are thinking?

oh lordy, Ahna - your Yaya is a spirited little sprite :)
Who cares what the neighbors think, I'm sure both God and the Bunny are still grinning :)

She most certainly is spirited. Right now, our Aussie Shepherd is trying to herd her back into the kitchen - she is not going without a fight!

Did the Easter Bunny deliver? She deserves a special treat for her pleading with things unseen.
Otis = handy.

Michael -
Are you suggesting that the destructo dog from Hell should be her Easter treat? Are you mad!? Special treat = yes. Otis = not so much!

Otis was only handy in that he was herding her into the kitchen. He is a special treat in his own way, but not a proper Easter treat for a lively little sprite. Sprites need sugar. Lots o' sugar.
